THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL POEM I FOUND

I AM STILL WITH YOU.
I GIVE YOU THIS ONE THOUGHTTO KEEP.
I AM WITH YOU STILL.
I AM A THOUSAND WINDS THAT BLOW.
I AM THE DIAMOND GLINTS ON SNOW.
I AM THE SUNLIGHT ON RIPENED GRAIN.
I AM THE GENTLE AUTUMNS RAIN.
WHEN YOU WAKE IN THE MORNINGS HUSH.....
I AM THE SWIFT UPLIFTING RUSH
OF QUIET BIRDS IN CIRCLED FLIGHT.
I AM THE SOFT STARS THAT SHINE AT NIGHT.
DO NOT THINK OF ME AS GONE....
I AM WITH YOU STILL IN EACH NEW DAWN.

That is so beautiful. I believe he is everywhere, but not close enough to hold........just one more time.

Linda, I know this is your post, but may I share a poem also? It helped me and I hope it helps others.

May the wings of faith uphold you
When your cross is hard to bear,
                As temptations surround you,
And no one seems to care.
May the wings of faith surround you
And shield you from the pain
                When sorrows overcome you
                And teardrops fall like rain.
May you know that God is with you
                In times of deep despair.
May the spirit, who's within you,
                Confirm that He is there!
May the valley of the shadow
                Provide angels unaware...
May the wings of faith uphold you
When your cross is hard to bear.

How ironic that we should be here when we need each other the most. I'm going through my "firsts" right now. First birthday, first Thanksgiving and first Christmas without him. I pray that when I have my "first" year without him, I will be in a better place mentally. Right now, I cry every day. I wonder why I have to get up every day to face the world with out him by my side. I promised him that I would be strong and I would be alright. I'm trying so hard to honor that promise, but right now all I do is cry. Linda, in my religion it says that those that commit suicide will not go to heaven. This is the only thing that has stopped me from doing so. I want to see him again. I have pictures of him so sick in the hospital and in hospice. When I wish he was with me again, I look at those pictures and thank God that he is in a place with no pain and suffering. This is what the bible says about when a person goes to heaven.......
God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;
there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor
crying. There shall be no more pain, for the
former things have passed away."
                                    ( Revelation 21:4 )

That doesn't help those of us left behind, but we know they are in a better place, if you believe. I'm here everyday. Please feel free to vent, scream and cry. We all cry with you.

With Warm Aloha, Linda B.
For me it's been 19 months, which is nothing compared to being together 50yrs. I lost not only a husband but also my best friend. Since he was retired we were together 24/7. I know he's in heaven, I just have trouble understanding why God doesn't want me yet. I'm ready to go, but guess I still have stuff I'm supposed to do here. I try to keep busy, but the lonelyness never goes away. I can be with lots of people, but I still feel alone. Half of me is gone, I don't know how to be whole.
God has been very good to us, we had 38 days to say goodbye, but of course I wanted more - I really wanted us to go together.
I wrote a story about my Two Great Loves. The First was God the Father and the second was Bud, my husband. One went to be with the Father, but I still have my first love, but it's still very hard!
The second year is still hard, but I'm slowly learning to cope. I don't like it, but I try to put a smile on, cry when I need to and go out and help others as much as I can.
Suicide is not in my picture as I know I'd never get to see my loves it I did that. My goal in life is to join them when it's my time. I WISH GOD WOULD HURRY1!! But He's God and I'm not.

Thanks for listening, Ruth
