Do you believe in the supernatural? Do you think that anyone has ever tried to contact you or send you signs from the other side?

Morning all,

Have another little thing to share with all of you.  First, my husband is still recovering good, each day gets a little better.

As I said before we are a very close family (both sides) and after his Mom passed we decided that her "sign" would be little humming birds.  She always was singing and her nickname was "bird".  Well we have had many incidents with humming birds but the most recent one is as such.

Here in CA usually when winter comes all the tiny birds move to warmer areas.  Well one has refused to leave our backyard.  It is all green with a red head and it sits every single day in this bare branch right in the view of our bedroom where my husband is recovering.  Even in wind, rain that tiny thing sits on the branch holding on, swaying in the wind.  If we go outside it opens it wings and chatters away.  I told my grandson that it had to be Grama O'Laughlin as it is persistant in staying watching over her son while he recovers.  I have been watching this bird for a month now and when I came back home this morning from errands it is sitting right out there braving the wind again.

Just thought I would share this story, as again it gives our family such peace and warmth to think that Gram O is with us making sure her son is on his way to a good recovery.

Hugs to all of you on this discussion.

Dear Susan-Donny's Mom,

It is always so good to hear from you and to see what you may have to share that some how just lightens up the days especially when reading of the signs you have been blessed to have from your loved ones and how this is now,  a way your grand children can to know of them and feel the around them  Forever memories you are creating for all .

It is also good news that your husband continues to heal as it seems he has guardian angels around him there to watch over him and and angel that he married that seems to love with all of her heart and soul.

Maybe this little bird is there to watch over both of you  , if not only to see how much love there is in your hearts for all around you and those who have passed on .

No new sightings for me other then a sense my Grand parents being close by still .  Which as I have written before they only come if they are to guide one of their many children up to heaven . As it seems to have happen each time I have felt them close . Yet I will not know since I am unable to contact the few remaining children  that on here, so all I have to do is pray that if so that this journey will be one for each of them that they too will know that their parents are near .  Not sure why they come to me yet I feel comforted for anyone to come as I love my family with all my heart .     I hope to walk by the river soon where I usually see many signs from my Father Mother and Sister there .  As we all used to share many hours and days there together .  In the movement of the river itself seems to be such a sign to me which anyone may say , though when I am down there it almost feels as though my family is right there speaking to me yet my tears get in the way of hearing what they are trying  say to me ..

May all the beautiful signs and healing that come both in passing and in life be yours .

To each that come today that the sign you see not have to speak a word you will just know it in your heart as I that it is from your loved on that has passed away .   Love that flows in a river or is seen in a little bird that stays close and near .  The gifts that our loved ones must be leaving so that we know that they are near.

Many blessing to all of you .

Ps continued healing to your husband and comfort to you for all the love that you share with your family that is the gift you give each day

Spring 2011 is rapidly coming I have a love hate relationship with Spring now it is 3 years this year on  April 18th. 2008 suddenly on a sunny spring Friday. Kenny grew into this strong tall funny, hard working, lovable man.
history: 2006 he hurt his back @ work a certified heavy equipment operations, Had surgery in Feb 2007 artificial back disc replacement low back. He had a place of his own in the woods everything he always wanted, a german shepherd RUSTY, home & now a baby on the way.   2007 feb. surgery,June married,10/4/2007 new son Ethan.
Things were not simple with a new wife/baby. 2007 Christmas Wow what a blessing all of the family that watched Kenny grow up were present.
Who knew this would be his last visit with important people in his life.
Winter a bit bumpy for him but totally in love with his son. It was always the Kenny & Ethan show. Ethan was 6 1/2 months old when his daddy & my son died. There are mixed stories from his widow, The sum of all of the stories : they were fighting and awake most of the night. Sometime ~ 11AM Kenny & Ethan went up for a nap, Sometime~ 3ish She went up stairs because Ethan was crying. Finding her husband and my son DEAD! who knows how long he had been dead but EMS could not resuscitate him! 5p.m.
I/kennys mom I was the last one called on arrival @ his house to lots of cars & police lots of police! I will never forget seeing my baby!
He looked like the last thing Kenny did was he kissed BABY ETHAN & told him I love you
I did not see any pain on my babies face, but daily I hope & pray he is ok
I only hope to see Kenny again &  his huge smile! & oh to feel his warm hug again.
Not sure If I have truly had a sign or a visit. I believe I've had a visit or 2 in the last 36 mo. I cant b'lieve its 3 years in April 18th.
Please let me know where to find a ghost whisperer?????

Hello to my fellow readers: This is a short story about a family going through life as it we're...

“I grew up in a small village in the northern province,” relates Dauda from Sierra Leone. “Once, when I was a boy, there was a land dispute between my family and another family. Both claimed the same land. To settle the matter, a medicine man was called in. He gave another man a mirror, then covered him with a white cloth. Soon the man under the cloth began to tremble and sweat. As he looked into the mirror, he exclaimed: ‘I see an old man approaching! He is dressed in white garments. He is tall and old, with gray hair, and he walks with a slight stoop.’

“He was describing Grandfather! He then became hysterical and cried out: ‘If you don’t believe what I am saying, come look for yourselves!’ Of course, none of us had the courage to do that! The medicine man calmed him by sprinkling on him a magical mixture of leaves and water, which he held in a calabash.

“Speaking through the mirror-man, ‘Grandfather’ said the land belonged to our family. He told my grandmother she should work the land without worry. The other family accepted the judgment. The issue was settled.”

Such experiences are common in West Africa. Here, as in other parts of the world, countless millions believe that dead people pass on to the spirit world, where they are able to observe and influence the lives of people on earth.

So my question for my readers

Is this belief true? Are the dead really alive?

Dear Gary,

As often as I come back to read or ponder this , and try to search for an answer within myself about this question you ask .  I am wondering if it will be one that will have a different answer as all , from everyone as it is in faith , beliefs , etc etc.

Do I believe my Mother , Father and Sister live on , yes in a way that may not be one that is in the story yet one that lives on in heaven , one where I do hope they are finally at peace and free of all pain and anguish that they had to go through .  Also I do believe that they live on in the hearts of each of those they touched the many lives that even for a moment that my Sister smiled at even as much pain that she was , not to let anyone else know .  Yet for them they alway felt such a kindness and comfort from her .   As it would be the many memories or my Father and Mother .

Do I see every once and awhile my grandparents by me  ,  ok yes ..    What may sound crazy as it feels to me to , yet for some reason ever since I was a young girl , never meeting my grand mother . ( not knowing what she looked like at the time ) a woman came to me .  To find out in later years in a picture that it was in fact her ..    Do I need to be measured for a white jacket maybe .  .. Yet it always felt as though they were truly here .    Does this mean they are still alive I can not say .  As it is only for whom ever created us to let us know.   I wish we had this information now , yet for at time I believe this is suppose to be what is the mystery of life . So when we do pass on that what we do find out is something more then we ever could have imagined or hoped for . At least I hope that for all of our loved ones.

A question that was wonderful to think of at least in a way to believe that they will live on , or at least I will make sure they do .  Even if no one will listen or talk about them with me .  They will in my heart always and forever be alive for me .  That love that they gave was to strong to ever go away . For it was more then I even deserved .  If only to have had one more chance to give what I had hoped to give to them maybe then , I would know I would be with them when I pass.  Not that I would deserve it , at least it would be that I had not failed as great as I had .

Thank you for the insight and the sharing continue if you would it was wonderful to think about .

Take care

To all  Blessings

My mom and daughter's gramma has passed on her Journey home, 2 yrs ago next wed 3-30.  I was just looking at that date on my calender and i was thinking about my dear mom... and just then, i felt her full hand on my shoulder~~  she is saying, i am with you, to comfort you... all will be ok....  she comes less and less now, but definately for anniversaries and special dates.   This date, i will make prayer bundles to attach to her memorial tree*  We love you mama just like it was yesterday you were here with us. I am learning your ways now, and i see why you did certain things..   Peace*** mama, and still i pray you are flying on Angels wings to where ever you want to go and be:)  I know you are happy, but also am waiting... father will be with you soon.

Love you MaMa!!!!!!!  Bear hugs... miss the touch of your very soft hands~~  until we see each other again!!

Good to see you back on here White Dove.

Yes a very special anniversary coming up.  Today is exactly 15 months Donny became and angel.....

still so sad, but learning to accept and deal with it the best I can.

Hugs to you

Susan

Thank you so much Susan~  Big hugs to you today.. just a little info on my feelings.. which of course can be very different than all others....  my first anniversaries of my mom's passing were very very hard... i see as the second ones are coming, my stress and mourning has lessoned.  Now i'm not saying i dont FEEL many heartaches... and flash backs.. but it seems my knowledge of mom being free.. is helping***

For all here who are experiencing first's of everything~  please, just know this is one of the toughest times to endure, and it will lessen:) I do believe if just one prays that our loved ones are accepted into the gates of Heaven... then so shall it be*   Even tho im not here as often, i continue to pray for each and everyone of us******

@White Dove,  my thoughts are with you on the anniversaries coming for you.  I lost my Dad 35 yrs ago and I still remember his birthday and his angel birthday every year.  My Mom left us 12yrs ago and the same for her.  I still have my brother/sister (which I am thankful for).  Our family members will forever be in our memories and hearts.

May you find some peace in your great memories.

Susan   Donny's Mom

Of course you remember Susan. You're a good daughter and he knows it. He's up there watching you along w/your Mom. They'll be there when God brings you home.
Yes for sure Melinda!!  In fact when Donny left us I knew in my heart of hearts that all of his grand parents (all 4) who loved him unconditionally were all waiting with open arms to welcome him into their world of peace, love and comfort.  Somehow that made me feel a tiny bit better.  He wasn't alone....

Thank u Susan, Donny's mom**  I have to say mom's Birthday is a much better celebrration.. than the day she departed from here..  knowing my mom... she is ignoring this date:)  I more than realize, that grieving is different among all of us...  i have to say, that in my moms passing, there was SO much that happened.. the Angels, 12 gun salute... her childhood friends coming.. her brothers... even a dark one... who i had to chase out the door for her... her appearence towards the end.... her "reving up her engines" before she took flight.. lack of eating, drinking for 7 very long days... sharing, caring, loving,  i could go on and on.. but what im trying to say is.. each of us has memories.. and i try my hardest to remember the good***

She is at peace, this i am sure of, and i also feel she is still waiting..... for my father...  they divorced years ago, but she still did love him. He is very ill, and when he passes i will scatter some at his grave site (without his now wife knowing lol)... for love is forever, and eternal.. and never ends**
