Do you believe in the supernatural? Do you think that anyone has ever tried to contact you or send you signs from the other side?

I believe you must be very open to receive the messages from the great beyond. I was begging for a dream, a sign ,something...since the day my 19 yr old son died. It took almost 6 months, but I finally got one!! At first I thought I was hearing my husband talking to me but he said he was not saying anything. When I had a chance to sit down quietly and relax I realized the voice was from our son! He stayed with me for several days. Before he left, he said he would be back in a few months. So I will be waiting for another visit in August.
Of course knowing he is OK is important but it does not stop me from crying, grieving and feeling responsible for his death. I am sure that is typical for most mom's who have lost a child.
Be patient and watch and listen for the signs they send. And when it comes don't brush it off with the thought of" I am going crazy...."
Yes I do believe in eternal life. I lost my son 3 months ago his name is Mitchell "CHASE" Jones and he was 21 years old. Go to his website at www.mitchellchasejones.com and read his story. I know he is in heaven now and I will join him one day and spend eternity with him.

This is so special, and now that I think a couple of times when I have gotten into the car my son's favorite band was playing.

I never watched "Cross country with John Edwards" until my brother passed. It's such a comfort to know that your loved ones are still very much with you. What he says is that you need to be open with the signs, whether it be a lightbulb blinking to a song you identify with them, it's their way of trying to communicate with you. I totally believe that, just be open and don't always look for it. You know what I mean? I, too, as much as anyone would love to know how my loved one is. I believe in a Higherpower, such as the Lord, and I know my loved ones who have passed on are doing so much more better than we are and they are the ones who are praying for us now. Knowing where my brother is that if I were to ask him,"Would you want to come back?" I know his response would be NO!! Just for the simple fact, that Heaven is where I would want to be, too. I LOVE YOU, LEVI, FROM YOUR BABY SIS!!!!!!!!!!!
My mother passed away on May13, my nephew lives 90 mi away and was told, but his 2 year old son (gg son of my mother) wasn't told. Shortly after they were told, they saw Travis the 2 year old was in his toy corner pointing out all the pictures on his alphabet poster to her. "V, Vacuum, Greatgamma! Look, greatgamma, cat!"

The next morning, when they woke him up, after the usual ‘Let’s get dressed so we can get breakfast’ conversation -- Travis: “I play with greatgamma yestahday.” JG: “Did she come over to play with you?” Travis: “Yes. We played alphabet and train and read mommy and daddy book (our wedding album).” JG: “Sounds like fun.” Travis: “Yeah. Said love you to travis and greatgamma go home.”

I got chills when I heard that..
Tomm,

ometimes when I wake up in the morning, I can feel my husbands presence and I turn over to see if he is there. It is a wierd feeling, I truly believe he is with me. I asked him for a faver recently and I got it. Maybe I am crazy but I believe he is taking care of me....
Hi! I was so relieved when I read some of the postings. My fiance was ruled out as a sudden death, but I was there that night and I know in my heart he was murdered. It's been 14yrs. this past May 19,2010 and I have not had one day of peace since his death. However, every so often when I'm really going through some ordeal, or it's his anniversary or b-day I too receive signs that bring me "comfort". For instance there's been times when I feel so non existant and carry the burden of guilt from not being able to save him that night, and as I wallow in my sorrow I will hear a loud thud, or something in plain view will fall to the ground,or suddenly one of our songs will begin to play on the radio coincidently. The most beautiful sign that I have received is the the scent of his cologne and that has only happened once. The most frequent sign I receive is a white dove, which has symbolic meaning to me since I set one free at the time of his burial in significance of setting his spirit free!!!! It may all sound crazy to some people but those of us who are left to wander in the world with our hearts broken and souls bewildered, it's signs like these are what keeps us from going crazy and keeps them alive in our lives!

You are so lucky to be able to give those messages to people. Your son is so caring and thoughful. I think to myself how comforting it must be..... to be able to get messages from him. Life is so strange. It gives my heart a break from the pain that at least someone who has gone through a similar experience has something amazing to say. By delivering those messages you are helping to heal others. It's the anniversary weekend of my stepmother, and I sure you know anniversaries.. well..... aren't usuall filled with joy and laughter, but I can say that your story does make me better for some reason. Thank you for sharing it.
Ii to all and hugs too. I have wrote a couple of postings and it has been a while since I have written anything. My wife of 44 years died during a nap,I heard her die and saw her dead. She was my pal. Its been 13 and a half months and I never will be the same again. Her pants and shirt are still on the vacuum cleaner handle where she put them to take a nap. They will always remain there. I have sniffed her scent completely out of her shirt but have her perfume bottle that she used. Being in Indiana during tornado season we have some candles in glass containers to use for when the power goes out. I was smelling her one night and tried to figure out where her smell was coming from. And, guess what ? Her smell is coming out of a used candle I had placed on a small bookcase and just left there. If you sniff it you smell her. All I have to say to people is, hey, smell this. Immediately they say,its mom,its grandma, its LouAnn. Wow, I have been blessed by having this. Anyone who has smelled the flower scent of an angel visit will know what I mean. Except I have my wifes smell coming from a used candle. Just wanted to share this.
Yes Gloria the power of prayer is awesome. In the Bible in 1Peter 5:7 God tells us to "Throw all your anxiety upon him because he cares for you".When ever you need or feel something pray in the name of Jesus.

I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter, and while I have not experienced the loss of a child, so in no way can know what you are going through, I do know that the Lord will help you. He has helped me through so many rough times in my life. Times when I thought I just didn't want to wake up again, and I use to pray so much, but I was always praying the wrong prayers. My daughter was born with Downs Syndrome, and it was the saddest experience of my life. I would hold her and say God please touch her tonight, please make her normal, please touch her. One night when I was holding her and saying this same prayer..Touch her, please touch her Lord, He answered! A voice so sweet, simply said "I have already touched her! And for a split second my heart felt like it was coming right out of my body, and I looked at her to see if she had changed, but then almost immediatley the voice said "She is as I meant her to be" Our little girl has been such a blessing to us. She is sweet, kind hearted and so special, and the one thing I do know, is that when her life here is over, she will return to the God that created her as He wanted her.
I wish I could beleive the same for my 3 sons, who are "normal".
God Bless You and my prayers are with you.
