I have found a wonderful book that is really helping me understand this "grief" process. It's called THE TENDER SCAR, LIFE AFTER THE DEATH OF A SPOUSE. The author lost his wife 9-14-99 and states "this is based on my observations and comments as some one who's been there, done that, survived, and continues to work at reaching the other side of grief". It has a Christian perspective but would be appreciated by any who care to read. He admits that no matter what others try to convince you of the one or possibly two years of the grief process, the length is indeterminate for him. This book is published in 2006 so you can see he is at 7 years but says if his book helps just one person along their journey, its worth his efforts. The cost is 9.99 at Amazon.com (some used much cheaper) or 7.99 if you have a Kindle. I don't normally promote but this book is well worth the cost. He shares many excepts from journaling to his wife, letters he's written his children, e-mails to himself from himself, many different sharings like this. So so good. Just had to let you know how very much this has helped me along my journey.. Be sure to check out some of the articles and things available here on Legacy.com also. Many of those are also very eye opening.. Have a restful night everyone.
