THE EMPHASIS OF THIS WORK WAS TO COMBINE EACH PIECE TO PRODUCE A FEELING OF GROWTH AND MOVEMENT FROM THE SOLID WOOD.  GROWN OUT OF THE FERTILE EARTH NURTURED BY WATER, THE WARMTH FROM THE WIND AND BREATH OF THE SUN, IT WAS THEN HAND WORKED INTO ITS FINAL ASCENDING FORM, WITH THE INDISPENSIBLE HELP OF THE 5TH ELEMENT.  LOVE.......

As some of you may have read in past posts from me my husband was a wood working artist. He also was a writer.  This piece of work is now being displayed in a local art exhibit I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  Today is the 3 month anniversary of my Joe's passing and I am still so incrediably proud of the man he was and will always be. Thank you for allowing me to share this wonderful work of art with you all.

Kay, That piece of art is beautiful !! My Jim was amazing when it came to metal. He was a welder for the first 20 yrs of our marriage. When it came to wood, he was at a loss. Used to make him so mad !!! I love wood work. You are so blessed to have had this amazing artist in your life. I am sorry for your loss. Take care.
This is beautiful and you are so lucky to have something that he made and to keep him with you. Brad & I restored classic cars together and all I have are pictures, I had to sell the last one (his) after he passed away to pay the funeral bills. I have nothing but I do have our good memories.
A good title for this could be; The soul of a man.
And your picture should be on the top shelf !
Thank you very much for the compliments, having this piece in the art show was one of the last things he was working toward so it is a very fitting tribute. They say artist don't become famous until they pass. Knowing how super excited he would be about all of this is what makes it so much fun for our 2 daughters and myself. He was his biggest fan. It just makes me smile.
kay, your husband was a very talented man. oh how proud you must be.my husband liked to paint and draw. i have some of his paintings hanging in my living room. i also kept of few of his sketches. his daughter wanted to take the rest. at his memorial service i had a table set up with some of his drawings and everyone commented on how talented he was. it made me feel very proud.
Kay, Thank you for sharing the phenomenal artistic woodwork your husband created. You have much joy to treasure from his talent and I am grateful for being able to hear others are being enriched by his work too. Doug was an Interior Designer by trade and my apt. has his touch as does all his clients. He also played classical piano and more and that I treasure within my heart. I can hear him playing still. Prayers to you my friend.
Words cannot express the beauty of this piece. Thank you for sharing! Hugs...
Kay, thanks for sharing that amazing piece with us. It is certainly outstanding, & shows the quality of Joe's talent. I'm so glad you were able to get this into the art show he'd wanted.

KAY: I JUST CHECKED THE COMMENTS AND CAME ACROSS THE AMAZING PIECE OF ART AGAIN JUST AMAZING VERY PROFESSIONAL PERSON
Kay, that's a beautiful piece! It's wonderful to have things to remember Joe by. My Steve was an amateur singer, and he did a lot of Gilbert and Sullivan. I have videos and DVDs of his performances, but am not quite ready to watch them yet - some day I will be, and I'm glad I have them.

You are rightly proud of Joe's artistry!
Oh how I would love to have Joe's voice recorded somewhere. The only recording I have is the voice mail message on his phone answering machine. Thats why I still haven't shut it off, I call and leave a message. Thank you
