Report on Ellen

This is Ellen's friend Margaret (not from this sight-local friend) giving the report.

Ellen had an infection in her leg, had surgery yesterday, is in much pain, must still have a couple more surgeries to follow. Cards are still welcome. She will be moved tonight to a private room, so a new phone number will be posted soon.

She thanks you for all prayers.

Hi Margaret,

You are a good friend as you are very thoughtful to give us the information about Ellen. I understand about not giving out her address and I have talked to her a few times but sometimes when I call it has been busy or someone was visiting or attending to her. If you would be able to, I'd really appreciate if you could let her know that she is in my thoughts and prayers every day. Thank you.

To all of Ellen's friends, Ellen just called me and said she is going in for her 2nd surgery tomorrow morning. She is scared, but still has her spirit. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I will call her tomorrow evening and I will let you know how she's doing. Hugs to all and thank you.

T o Ellen's friends, I talked to Ellen tonite and she has made it through her 2nd surgery. She still has her sense of humor, claims she has a case of " ishkambuble". I told her i didn't even know how to spell that, but this is as close as we came. She is facing more surgery ---- skin grafts. I don't know when, but as soon as I know, I will post it. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Hugs to all.

Tell Ellen we all think of her often. I haven't been posting lately. Having a bit of a rough time but I think of Ellen and wish her well.

please tell ellen that i am thinking of her and i miss posting with her terribly. i am praying for her and i am so sorry i havent called for awhile, just having a rough time lately. i will try and get in touch with her soon.thanks so much for keeping us all posted on her condition. cindy

To all of Ellen's friends, Tomorrow Ellen will undergo her 3rd surgery in less than a week. The Drs. are doing some sort of muscle and/or skin graft. The surgery will be about 3hrs long. Once this is done, the Drs will decide if she needs further surgeries( possibly 2-3 more). Ellen is very scared, but she is comforted by your thoughts and prayers, so please keep them coming. I read your posts to her, and she thanks you so much. I am so amazed that after all she has been through, and what she is facing, that she still has her sense of humour. I will let you know how she's doing when I talk to her tomorrow nite. Hugs to all.

Thank you so much Barbara, Margaret, & Diane for keeping us posted on Ellen. This is such a tough time for her. Sure wish some of us lived closer to visit but we are sending our love and hugs and prayers from all across the country. Let her know she is continually in our thoughts and we miss her terribly..

margaret, i havent spoken with ellen in awhile and was just wondering if she is at the same hospital? if i call her cell phone i can only do it on the week ends cause i dont want to use up her minutes.could you please let me know if she is at the same hospital and what room. thank you, cindy

Cindy, I just talked to Ellen about an hour ago. She's still at the same hospital, but I don't know her room number. She has the same cell phone company, so we can talk whenever. You can call her after 9:00 P.M. on her cell -- then it's free minutes. She is having surgery again tomorrow. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Take care Cindy.
