Sara, it's good to hear from you - being busy is a blessing for us as it underlines our usefulness and worth whether in professional or personal capacity, so I'm happy for you. It's a good feeling to be needed.

Mary Jane, I know you're not imagining having Bob there and I'm glad he is helping you as he always will. I'm sorry about your memory issues but have the same thing myself so can only say we both need to tell our doctors about it. Steve and I finally got appointments to see a PCP, and he'll be the same Dr. for both of us. Finding our needed healthcare professionals around here is proving to be difficult, but this is the first step. We each see him for the first time January 23, the day before my 69th birthday.

I want to recommend a movie we saw on TV called "The Inbetween". It depicts the struggles with loss and grief very well I think and is also a touching love story.

Hi All......I wanted to drop in and say hi since I missed the holidays.  I wish I could say I had a good reason but it was really just the busy-ness of the holidays and work.  I see Chicago is now engaged.  Congratulations!! I wish you much happiness.

Ummm on another subjest..When I fist moved here,,,I didn't feel Bob around at all..like I did in Oklahoma...but NOW? he's here ALL THE TIME! Yeah, I know..sounds like I have "lost it" but he IS I talk to him all day long, I KNOW he is here...he finds lost things, I feel his precense all the time. No I am NOT nuts.. I DO! !  Again, thaks for your kind responses. Hope u all have a nice holiday!

Thanks!  I.ve missed everyone here., Yes, I see a doctor once a month for pain medication...in California, ONLY a pain specilaist can prescribe optiods, and only a certain amout and strength.. I see him again on the 27th. Last month I told him these meds really aren't doing much, and he prescribed a pain patch wear one patch for a week..AND he said it was OK to wear in conjuction with me MEDS? Noo way.i did not do that.He's a new guy..but the HORRIBLE thing..I had a very scary and weird reaction to the patch..it was HORRIBLE!  for 4 hour i wore it..and I was SOOOO stoned! but it was a scary stone, couldn't walk straight, felt SUPER fuzzy, and complletly dosoriented and DRUNK!  i had NEVER felt like that.from a mediaction. Yes, I googled it, and many folks daid that had happened to them. .ICKY! (and I servived the late 60's) so I ripped it off, and threw the other patches in the garbage

The SAD thing.2 years ago, i recieved an INJECTION, done in their office. in my spine..it was an IV, and it was awesome. It lasted for a few MONTHS! .But California Dr.s are NOW under a corporation..PROVIDENCE..Soo, I had to go to the hospital, line up on a guerny with maybe 20 other patients, having the same procedure,,and it didn't work AT ALL! Soo, this is my life now. The BEST adice EVER was from a Dr in 2006 who said "Keep Moving" He was correct...nothing works if u sit all day..soo this is my life now. Thanks for your kind responses..its good to be back. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!
