This might be a rough time for many of you. Do what you feel you need to do to get through it. Remember, someone is here almost all the time to talk to you.

My work week was interesting, was sooooo tired and worn out that I slept till 11 today but it was also really good to once again have a purpose besides watching grandkids

Happy late birthday to Ken, sorry I didn't see this post earlier. speaking by experience, my 1st hubby passed away 31 years ago but every year on his birthday I find myself being in a bad mood, and still doing the what ifs, although it does get a lot better its never gone nor should it be,

So Ken's birthday was yesterday and I'm still wondering if it ever gets easier. He should be 56. I should have made a special dinner. I can't believe I just used the phrase "past few years" because to me it's like no time has passed although in reality it's almost 4 years

Deb....that's great that you went back to work. That interaction is vital to our sanity IMO. I know it's what helped me get through these past few years.
Good luck with your new adventure!

Good luck Deborah!! So glad to hear that you took that huge step. We are the same age, but I have been working at the same place for 40 years. I love my job and I love the people. Without my interaction with most of these people I would not have made it this far. They are the most loving helpful people in the world. Not every day is a picnic, but most are. I hope you have the same experience. Best of luck to you in your new endeavor.

Way to go Deborah!

I find that when I happen to be in the company of adults, I am way more chatty than I used to be.  My wife was a talker, so I always had that interaction (she called herself my babbling brook).  I guess I miss that more than I realize.

Prayers for your new adventure. :-)

So I did a thing today, I went back to work for the first time in 3 years, I had quit the year before Greg passed away, I think God was making sure we got extra time before he was gone, It was great to be out again even though I am exhausted and my feet are throbbing it feels right to me, I am 63 so this was a big step for me especially without Greg cheering me on but I really needed something for just me and to interact with adults other then my children, so say some prayers for my new adventure

I just got a chance to read that, Chuck..thanks you for the wonderful laugh, WITH you, not AT you. These are the stories that we pass down, or tell everyone. You made us smile...we have all seen that ominous button, and wondered what happens if we push it. Now we know! Wow! I am happy you shared your experience.

Too funny Chuck!! So glad to hear the humor, we certainly need that on here from time to time. Poor Steve, I can see the eye rolls and hear the sighs.... Thanks for the smile and laugh!! I do hope everything works out well. Thoughts, prayers and hugs to both of you!

Chuck that is so funny, I can just picture all the chaos going on, gave me a good laugh. Hope all the test come out good, have been thinking of you both since reading this and said some prayers
