lost my partner of 42 yrs last may. still hurts and this stay at home isolates even more. hard to move forward but am trying. have been out of touch w/ gay community for last 15-20 yrs...due to job/hrs and partner's medical conditions. cannot really compare our relationship to a non-gay relationship and all that comes with that. Uncomfortable talking with non-gay friends except a handful of very close friends.

Hi Tony, I'm so sorry for your loss. I can relate to a lot of what you posted; the being out of touch and unable to relate to non-gay relationships. I signed up here after I lost my husband of 29 years at the beginning of March.
I wanted to reply to you because as far as I can tell, it doesn't look like anyone else will. You may notice the last activity in this group was in September 2019, and I've never seen anyone else online whenever I've logged in.
I would suggest going to facebook and looking for 'LGBTQ Grief Loss Support'. It's a very active, diverse, and inclusive group with over 1000 members and you will be welcomed immediately.
