I lost my son May 9, 2008 at age 18. I have shared my story of grief and healing with many, I thought it would be a great idea if we all shared a story of a happy time with our child or loved one, something that will make us smile.

My fondest memory of my boyfriend Howie, was how he singed my name :) Everytime I called him on the phone, he would answer, singing my name. It would always send chills down my spine, and make me smile. I couldn't understand how a man, could be sooo crazy about me.... And show it. He had this way to brighten up my day, if he knew I was in a bad mood. He'd send me a text or call me just to tell me to smile, cause I had a great man. He wouldn't let me off the phone until he heard me laughing. I used to joke and tell him he was cocky lol... But he and I both knew better then that. He was the most modest man I ever met, and NEVER knew how special he was. Now three months later, how I wish my phone would ring or I would get one of his mushy texts just to say he was thinking about me ....
