I know how all of you feel, I lost my beautiful full of life mother to a 3 week battle yes 3 weeks with stage 4 lung cancer with maths to her brain. It all started with a little memory loss and a cold we thought, talked her into going to the er and within 2 days we were faced with the unbelieveable truth CANCER. We were given a 2 week to live without radiation. She was so brave never cried in front of us kids. So she came home with me and my sister and we started the radiation. After only 6 treatments she went from 97 lbs to 84 lbs stopped eating and was so weak when she got home from the hospital after the treatments and could only sleep. This all happened within 1 week. This cancer is the most horrible devil I have ever seen in my life, the pain and suffering to the person and their family is so horrible. How this can destroy a person in just weeks it has to be stopped some how, all the research is still not stopping all the people loosing their lives. So after the 6th treatment I said good night to my mother and came to her the next morning to find her taking her last breath , she died that morning two days before her birthday. It has only been a week but seems life a life time, I miss her so much it hurts. Before this she was full of life doing every thing on her own driving 40 miles every weekend to stay with me at my house. I lost my father 23 years ago , so my mother was the one who picked up the pieces and we went on, now she is gone. I dont think this hurt will get better. I wish I had the answers to why we all have to suffer such great loss in our lives? I can only hope to get the support to get through this great loss.

I wanted to write to share a positive thought from the bible for your moms future. Did you know that Jesus said ...."the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...." John 5:28
katlin,

Thank You, Yes I do believe. I do know she is now in a better place with no hurt and just peace. I know she no longer has all the worries she carried for so long, and she is now looking down upon us. And I do believe she has herd his voice.

Thank You
Sue
Hi Sue,
It is comforting to know she is not suffering. One of the most outstanding resurrections Jesus performed while he was on earth was the resurrection of Lazarus, a close friend of his. Lazarus got sick and died. When Jesus heard about it, he traveled back to the area by foot. John 11:5 says, Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus." When Jesus arrived Lazarus had already been dead four days in his tomb(grave). (John 11:17) Jesus said he was going to awaken Lazarus "from sleep," equating death to a sleep like state. (John 11:11-14) When Jesus saw Mary and the Jews that were with her crying, he became emotional himself and began to cry. (John 11:33-36) When Jesus got to the memorial tomb, Jesus asked for the stone to be moved away. (Lazarus' memorial tomb was a cave) His sister objects saying to Jesus, "Lord by now he must smell, for it is four days." (John 11:38,39) Then Jesus says a prayer and cries out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come on out." (John 11:42-44) It is so encouraging to know that Jesus had feelings like ours when he was a man on earth, so when he calls out to all our loved ones to "come on out," it will be such a joyous time it is really even hard to imagine. When I think about this account it warms my heart to think about how overjoyed I will be to see my Grandmother and my brother. I hope this encourages you. katlin linkatlin@yahoo.com
