I lost my mother on July 6, 2009. I cry alot because it was just me and her, we were more like best friends and I dont know how to move on. I have no one to talk to and I think I am being more and more depressed because I cannot express my feelings.

DeAndrea, I have learned that grieving is a very personal, individual thing! NO ONE CAN OR SHOULD TELL YOU HOW YOU SHOULD FEEL OR HOW LONG YOU SHOULD FEEL THAT WAY!!! Write back & we'll talk. Jan Hoyle
DeAndrea, have you heard about the 7 stages of grief. A friend sent this to me when my father died this year. Wish I could tell you I'm at stage 7 but I'm not.
My father and I were close. He was the most important person in the world to me.
We were just alike. Secretly my father wanted a boy but when I came along, he
was excited to have a little princess, he could spoil. You can find 7 stages of grief on the internet.....
Thank you, I really miss her and I am very angry that she is gone.

My boyfriend tells me all the time that is over so I need to let it go. But truthfully no one understood how close we were. My mother was like my big sister, I could tell her anything. Now I don't have anyone that is that close to me.

DeAndrea, I am sorry on the loss of your mother. Have your tried writing your feelings down? You do not have to keep it. Even if all you type is the things that you and your mom did together, that is a start. Or just typing you don't know how to start, that is also a start. However, it is a good way of getting your feelings out where only you know. It is not the same as talking with someone close, a true friend. It does help and is a start. Do you have faith or pray? Try turning your thoughts over to God for direction. The right support group/workshop can be helpful, Hospice and some funeral homes or mortuary's will have information listed on their website. Grief is a personal process and no one can tell another how to grieve. You have to somehow find the way for YOU to greive that suites you in a good way.
Hi Deandrea, My name is Kaite. Im 17 and I lost my dad december 30, 2008. Me and him were bestfriends as well. He was there everyday weather it was a soccer game or ballet recidal. Anyways, just letting you know i've been dealing with my loss a little bit longer then you so i understand just how hard it is. Theres days i think about my dad and dont even care to get out of bed. But i think to myself, would my dad want me to be upset, would he want me moping around and not wanting to do anything? So next time your upset and think theres nothing left, just think of the good times you had with your mom, and also think if she would want you to be upset. Oh and always remember She might not be here physically, but she will always be here with you. She's always looking down smiling im sure. (:
DeAndrea I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Death of a loved one can be very emotionally painfully. Many have found that the best way to deal with the death of a loved one is by turning to God for comfort. How does this help? Well in the Bible it tells us that it was not God's purpose for man to suffer and die. God had made a promise what he plans to do in the near future. This is brought out in the Bible book of John 5:28,29 where it says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...". These verses helps us to see that God gives us hope that we will see our loved ones again when he resurrect those who had died in the past. You have that hope of seeing your mother again and being best friends with her again. This is not some fantasy or a feel good story. The Bible records those who had been resurrected in the past by God. These where just a preview of what is going to happen in the near future, but on a worldwide scale. Until that time comes God encorages us to go to him in pray with our grief or problems. This is brought out in the Bible book of Psalms 55:22 where it states "Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, And he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter." This verse helps us to see that by going to Jehovah in prayer with whatever is causing us grief or depression, he will sustain us. The reason why he is able to do this because he knows exactly what we are going through. If you want to learn more on how you can find comfort through the Bible feel free to ask any Jehovah Witnesses in your area or you can send me a message.
