I recently lost my dad (Sept. 13th 2012) this Thursday will be two weeks and to me it still doesn't seem real. He was sick for a long time and knew that this day would one day come. Even though I keep telling myself he's in a better place and no longer suffering I still can't take in that he is really gone.
My dad died Aug 5th, 2012 of a massive heart attack. When i rec'd that call that he had died, i was in utter shock. The death of my dad has been very hard to deal with. The wonderful hope that is found in the Bible (John 5:28,29, Psalms 37:9-11,29) is the only thing that has helped me cope. My heart goes out to all that are dealing with the death of a parent at this time.
My dad died Sunday following 10 days of post motorcycle accident recovery. I am in shock and miss him so much. I hate waking up because I have to process the loss allover. I held his hand as we let his body go.....we asked for them to stop CPR, since it wasn't working. I know exactly what you are describing Holly. My heart hurts so much, and my mom is lost without him. I'm worried we can lose her now too. I barely eat or sleep and cry most of the time. I just want my dad back!!!! :'(
Holly...we are all here for you.
*big hugs* Chelsea, I'm so sorry for your loss.
I lost my dad in November. He was 43. He passed from an overdose. He was the only person I could talk to about anything. I feel so alone now. None of my friends understand and just tell me to stop thinking about it. I could have saved his life. I knew he was into drugs at the time and I said nothing.
