My brother will be gone 5yrs in may of 2015. his bday is in a couple wks. the pain burns inside me still missing him. I still can hear call my name once in awhile, or smell him. I still cry in an instant when I think of him.  I don't think these will get any better... this is better and honestly I don't want them to now. its all I have left of him. memories and the pain of him not being here anymore. I am not a religious person at all. so when it starts to get close to his anniversary and bday I log on here. which does help.

(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Hey Melinda

I've been down (sick) for a few weeks but i'm better now.  I was excited to see your talking to J.W. lady and learning what the Bible teaches about death and 1914 ect..... Keep on digging and you are going to see all the wonderful promises for the future for us and our loved ones who have passed away.  Jehovah is a God of Love and he wants us to be happy!  I hope you have a good day today!

I looked it up Margaret, 1914 is when the angel was cast out of Heaven and became the devil. God created us to live forever but Adam sinned, so all os us were corrupted. Things were o.k. until then. This is from a  J.W. woman I speak with since my daughter Candace passed. I needed some answers. Now my little brother has left too!!!

Margaret, That is a scripture my grief counselor and I read yesterday! She also pointed out, 1 Corinthion15:26, "The last enemy, death, is brought to nothing." When God regains the control of Earth there will be no death! No sickness, no hunger, thirst or pain! All of our love oned will be with us again! She said the devil has been in charge of the Earth since 193?, I can't remember. I'll look it up.

(Philippians 4:6, 7) Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.

Thank you Karen and yes, new years is always a hard time. I'm sorry to hear about your sister Lisa. Keep your faith and know that she is always with you..wishing you strength.

Hi Daneille-

I am sorry for your loss.  I was older than my sister Lisa when she passed but that is also hard since I know she will never reach the birthdays I have been blessed to have.  Also, it saddens me so much on New Year's  that she will not welcome in a new year here on earth with us.

She passed on November 7, 2013 and I miss her more each day.  I have leaned on God to help me through and family and friends but it has and continues to be a struggle.  I hope you find peace and remember-you are not alone.  Folks on this site are very kind.

Best,

Karen Liller

I lost my older brother on March 31 2011...5 days after my 24th birthday. He was 27 at the time and on March 26th I will be turning 28. It's been such a hard battle but I have dealt with it as best as I can. However the closer I get to my birthday, the harder it's becoming. I just wanted to know how others coped with becoming older than their sibling was when they passed. It's such an odd feeling and I miss him so much.

(Isaiah 41:10) Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.’
(Isaiah 41:13) For I, Jehovah your God, am grasping your right hand, The One saying to you, ‘Do not be afraid. I will help you.’
