Although it has been more than two weeks since losing my oldest brother, I think about (after hearing/learning later) how the nursing home treated him and how I wanted/needed to be there to prevent that. Right now, my family is fighting for him because that facility needs to be held accountable for his lack of care. "JUSTICE FOR ANT!"
I just lost my oldest brother on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. I could not be at his wake nor funeral because it was in Cleveland, Ohio and I was hospitalized in Astoria, NY.
I just read that post you did elyse, "missing my brother, FOREVER", with a heavy heart I agree implicitly.
elyse, those are the words that I use regarding myself, "my past, present and future" are gone. Candace had just turned 30, less than two months b/4 she left. That was April 09, 2010. Then on Sept. 22, 2014, my younger bro passed from PHT!!! He almost died when he was about 6, I think the good Lord let him live and he and his wife raised a very smart daughter who's going to college to become a doctor! I love and miss them so very much! I'm glad Candace (my lil' Boog) was there to greet My Dougie! We'll be reunited, I know. Candace is my only child. Lord please comfort elyse and Susan, Amen.
My sister is my best friend too Karen. You have my sympathy. That's good you write her, I know her Spirit sees it. My sister is four yrs older than me and she was diagnosed with R.A. Life is too short, I wish I realized this when I was younger.
I wish everyone peace as they are dealing with their grief. I lost my younger sister Lisa to neuroendocrine cancer on November 7, 2013. The anniversary is coming up soon and I dread that day. She was my best friend and we were to grow old together. I still write to her everyday to let her know what is going on in our lives. I too believe we will be together again.
