We will shed our tears. My counselor says the first tears are the traumatic ones. As time goes by they change. They are still from sadness, but somehow, you eventually get control. Eventually, you will look at his photo and smile, or recall the funny times. It's the emtimess that needs to be filled up. By friends and hugs and loved ones, new adventures and new memories. Its' hard to think of new memories, but we all will move forward. We have to. We must. Hugs to you both Joanne and Benita. For me today is a good day. No tears as yet. 505am! lol. My hair is having a bad hair day already, but I do have much to be thankful for. : ) I'm going to do well today.

I know how you feel. My husband passed away on 10/17/09 to metastatic lung cancer. I cry every time I think about him. His picture is on my wall. I look at him and just cry. Christmas was hard and New Years was just as bad. It seems like I will never get through this.
