Hello to my long lost friend. I don't even know if you'll remember me (Karen Coonen), but I used to work at Bay Medical Center for Lowery Sparks as the Refund Clerk back in 1985. I was thinking of you on thursday evening as I was trying to stay awake from a late night trip back from Madison, WI to my hometown, Kaukauna, which is about a 2 1/2 hour drive. I have such fond memories of you and your contagious smile/laugh. I have occasionally, over the years, tried to look you and Mack Wilson up on Google, but never had any luck, but today I tried again and I found you....here on this website!! I am so sorry about the loss of your grandson. If there is one thing that I do remember about you it was your love for life and for your family....so this must just be tearing your heart apart. I believe you referred to your grandchildren as "grandbabies" and I always thought that was so cute, because we "northerners" didn't say that. I imagine a lot has happened in our lives over the last 23 years...good and not so good. It is ironic that I found you because of your response to an article on "the loss of a loved one" because today I walked in an annual event sponsored by the American Cancer Society to find a cure for cancer called the Sole Burner. I lost my sister who was also my best friend 8 years ago, and my dad 3 years ago to cancer. God's plan is so hard to understand sometimes, but I know one day we'll understand...and in the meantime we have to keep trusting in Him. Well Barbara, I better not ramble any more just in case this is not you, but I'm quite sure it is, due to the picture you posted and your husband's name. He is the one and only Harley that I have ever heard of. I signed up as a memeber to this website just so I could say "hi " to you, so if you reply, I sure hope I know how to find it (haha). I hope you are doing well and that if you remember who I am, you'll shout a "hi" back to me.
