Thank you. I needed to hear that. He was lovable and fun and my best friend, I am happy for him that his next memories are with the lord, but I am sad for me that I have to grow old without him....
Hi Cheryl,
I'm not sure why you chose to write to me, and confess to being puzzled by what you said. I do not believe my son's death was God's will and have only felt wrapped in his goodness since my son died. I do believe that God received my son (his soul) in heaven after he died and do not believe that he now lies sleeping and lifeless in his grave only to be reawakened at a later time. Without doubt, my son's soul lives now. Scripture is open to various interpretations. There is no clear cut answer for why Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. The story does demonstrate that God understands and feels our pain when a loved one dies.
You were right when you said you do not know what I'm feeling. I will continue on my journey knowing that others may travel a different road.
Thank you for your hopeful words and the verses. There is no way I could get through this without my faith in Christ. I needed to be reminded of those scriptures, thank you,and God bless you. It doesn't take the pain away but eases it enough to survive.
Cheryl,
Thank you for reading Tom's story. Thank you for your words of encouragement and the passages.
I have so many memories of our life together over 27 1/2 years (almost 25 of them married years). I am hanging on tight to all those wonderful memories, but nothing can erase the pain.
I am encouraged by the thought that he can live again. What a wonderful day that will be.
Thank you,
Marlena
hello cheryl, I was curious if you were professionally and/or spiritually employed with the clergy of your local church or if you we're personally inspired to share all that info with us. It was interesting to say the least. Carlo

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate what you said, and through this, I have been looking to the Bible.
