Thanks Don for your kind & supportive comments. I also had sepsis as well as becoming too dehydrated following surgery together with potassium & sodium levels dropping too low. This in turn triggered the heart issues. It was all very scary as you can imagine. With grief, as you will know only too well, it takes time to get through & there's no fast forward button or ways we can bypass our way through certain bits. It's a slow arduous process. I did love my partner hugely, more so than I ever really realised when he was alive. Strangely, I think my love for him is even deeper now, maybe elevated to a higher level if that makes any sense to you. It would have been his 58th birthday today & my dad passed also on this day in 2007 so it's not an easy one for me. Life goes on as they say but it doesn't stop us missing them or loving them any less. Sending hugs, xx
