I'm so sorry for your loss. I completely understand your anger and frustration with the medical system.
I lost my beautiful little sister (age 32) on June 24, 2012 due to an accidental prescription drug overdose. Beck had suffered ill health all her life, she had to trust that her doctor knew what he was doing and what he prescribed her was correct.
There were 6 different meds in her system in her toxicology results. ALL of them prescribed by her doctor of 7yrs. None of which were dangerous on their own but together were a lethal cocktail that killed her.
How can he not be responsible in some way? How can he be allowed to go on prescribing?
The coronial inquiry into her death is ongoing. I'm trying to get the coroner to recommend an inquest into her death but they don't seem to regard it as seriously as I would like. They seem to be happy to just put my sisters life n death into the category of "drug overdose", even though there was no illicit drugs or even alcohol in her system.
I've tried contacting lawyers but no one seems interested because there's not a huge compensation in Australia when the victim is dead.
