Going to Carve a Pumpkin

Just for my dad, on Halloween,

I'm carving a pumpkin.

When I was little,

dad used to carve a pumpkin for me.

I remember how he did EVERYTHING,

to most minute detail.

I may go to his house, on All Hallows Eve,

to get that one last feeling of how we used to celebrate.

It's true, when they say, ""little things, mean the…

Daddy

When I was a little girl, a mear 4 or 5, my daddy used to pick me up, and

dance me across the kitchen floor. I would always sit on daddys lap as

he sat on his rocking chair. He would share his peanuts, and I'd sneak

This morning, my alarm clock went off, and I said,"Ok Dad, I'm up."

I went to work today for the first time, since you have Crossed Over.

I had a lot of "my sheep" ask, "where have you been, we missed you?"

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father.  I too believe that our loved ones are with us in spirit.  And I appreciate your wanting to share with me your beliefs on God's part in the loss of my son.  Let me state first that my faith in God has always sustained me, and more so since my son's death.  I have also lost both of my parents, my beloved sister, all of my grandparents and aunts and uncles.  It is hard to lose someone.  And I know it hurts you to lose your father.  I imagine he was a wonderful man.

Shortly after my father passed I began having recurring dreams, where he was outside my window, and trying to talk to me through the screen.  I kept saying Daddy, I can't hear you, but he kept trying to tell me something.  I know now what that was.  He was trying to tell me he would be there to welcome Travis when he crossed over.  This is my belief.  I wish you peace and comfort, and God bless you and yours.
