I lost my son this past november and really their isn't anything you can do or say thta will make it better, if the family is doing something for this make sure you are there and offer to help in any way, be there for a shoulder to cry on, my son's 18th birthday is next wed and im having a memorial 18th birthday for him some people say its to soon and it will be like losing him all over again, but i hve to do it, your family may just want to be left alone, or want people around them just don't take anythiing personally, its not its just we feel so numb, mad sad and lonely at the same time.  Tell the family about this site it has helped me in so many ways, my son didnt commit sucide but he did decide to take something a drive and 25 feet from where he would have turned he went into the other lane and hit a fm 150 pickup he died on impact, tell you cousin I would love to talk to them if they like sometimes talking to other parents is better i also go to compassionate frends that helps alot.
