At 9:44am on January 12, 2009, einars simons said…: Hi Mary Beth I am so sorry for the loss of your husband.I have a friend who I met at a group meeting and she also lost her husband 7 months ago.Yesterday we were discussing how the pain one feels on this grief journey compares to absolutely nothing that has gone on before.I found that Christmas and New Years were as you said no worse or better than any other day.I had thought that they would be worse as Christmas 2007 and New Years 2008 were the last ones Marilyn and I spent together.The only thing that I am finding is that I am more accepting of Marilyns death and thus have less emotional pain.You will be forever changed with the loss of your loved one and I think not a good way. God be with you in your troubled times and always Mary Beth.Please share your thoughts again.Einars

Thank you for the kind words regarding my tribute website. I am very sorry for your loss. You brought tears to my eyes as I read your words. This was the second holiday I've spent without my Mom and Robert, and it was as painful as before. My Mom’s 2 year anniversary was Christmas day and her birthday was 12/31/08. Robert’s birthday will be on 01/26/09 and His 2 year anniversary will be May 8th, 2009. Needless to say, it’s been and will be very emotional for me because they are all I had. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. Barry
