I am sorry to hear of your loss. This website has really helped me. I have learned from a friend of mine that we never get over the loss we just learn to cope in a different way. WOW what a thought. My brother took his life in January. It has been such a whirl wind with everything. I live about 4hours away from my family and there are days that I am glad I do because it allows me to "forget" somewhat of the loss, but when I go home I am reminded because my brother lived w/my mom. My 2 sisters live in the same town as my mom so they get to support eachother I sometimes am very jellous of their relationships, but some how we just move on with life. I think the hardest thing I find myself thinking is what if we forget about him. And sometimes I fell that IF we aren't talking about him when we are together then we have forgot him, which isn't true it is just a feeling I have. Hold close to the memories and at times I find myself just listening to my mother and father about the loss of my brother and have learned the hard way not to try and FIX the comments they are making just sometimes sitting and nodding is all I can do. Missing them is the hardest thing. Again I am so sorry for your loss it is SO NOT FAIR. being angry at the friend is OK you aren't a bad person for that. IT takes time to heal and losses like this, I don't know if we truely ever do. Hugs and prayers your way. Kim Scottsbluff NE
