Zackary came to us on the early morning of January 15, 1994. Only he knew of the journey that we were about to embark on together. What a journey it has been, one with many turns in all different directions and daily challenges that were put before us. Only we together could accomplish with as much success and the Lords good grace by our side. We were able to meet any obstacles set forth ahead of us and conquered them one step at a time no matter what or who it was.As we traveled down so many different roads and paths, we had the chance to go many new places and meet many new people. Some of those people and places tried really hard to set us back but the words "no", "can't", "won't be able to", "just assume", or "normal" were words that were simply not in our vocabulary as we continued to triumph forward. So many of the people we met were eager to join our journey and helped us along the way to open so many closed doors before us which helped us to make our journey over the past seventeen years so successful. This also helped and gave Zackary the chance to become the wonderful young man he was and will always be. For all of those who were blessed with the opportunity to meet Zackary, all can agree that he had the biggest most beautiful brown eyes with lashes every girl only wishes they had. He also had an infectious smile that lit up the darkest of days, rooms, or moods... whenever he would enter the room or cross their thoughts. When anyone was asked if they knew Zackary Trujillo, the first words from their mouth were usually, "have you been his smile?" Together Zackary and I have met, taught, been taught, helped, learned, showed, and traveled to places only we could go together. Places only Zackary could take me. Zackary's legacy will live on in the lives of all those he has touched and will continue to touch with the sharing of his story, accomplishments, and so many successes through all the memories to tell to all of those willing to share "Just listen and Always Smile"…
