It's been a little over a month and I miss my Mom. Her bill statements are being forwarded to me now and that is a bit difficult to deal with. I don't have time to shut down because the important bills have to be paid. Then too; I can't shut down in regards to dealing with my own lifes challenges and daily living. I'm doing a little more now at home. I did wash the clothes yesterday and cooked dinner. I folded the clothes, but have to put them up. I will try to do that tomorrow. *sigh* It's… Continue

Loss of my Mom

It has now been one month as of January 18, 2010 that I lost my Mom. Mom died from Pancreatic cancer which had metastisized to the liver...the odd thing is that I believe that she knew and just didn't tell my sister and I. Mom called me on the first Thursday of December 2009 and said that she was in the hospital and then called me that Friday to say she was moved to ICU. I booked my flight that Friday and flew up to her on Saturday. It went downhill from there and we lost her December 18, 2009.… Continue

You'll receive an EOB from Medicare, her 2ndry insurance and her gap insurance. You don't need to pay anything until you get a bill from the dr's office or hospital. When you get the bill call that office and make sure that all 3 of her insurances were billed. If you have any other questions just let me know.

I would've been lost with all of the bills and insurance claims if I didn't work in the insurance industry. I know how overwhelming it can be. She may not be here in body, but she is in spirit and has left a legacy of 5 people. You, me, MikeMike, Tommy, Jimmy and Danielle. She lives in all of us. I see her in myself and my sister, my nephew and my kids. Rejoice in that!!
