I have given grandchildren and children his knives and his watches. I can't let go of his clothes and shoes etc. I know he's not coming back and I am trying to move on but it is very difficult. I still have his hat and coat I hang on the door knob. I have moved them from the back door into the spare room. What really hurts is the night he passed away, I had talked to him before he fell asleep. He had a great day, felt good, had a good time. He said to me I am sorry for everything I ever did to hurt you and I do love you. I told him don't talk like that your not going anywhere. We are going to get you started on the new medication and they will help you and we will come back here and get your surgery.Why didn't he listen to me months before so he had a chance?

At 8:41am on February 22, 2010, Liz said…: I had to get rid of his things immediately.. it hurt like hell... i had to move out of the house...i held onto is glasses and his deoderant(weird I know)...some of his sweatshirts...i kept things i couldnt bare to toss... i made my mom throw his tooth brush away bc it was just the final reminder he was gone... i talk to the urn or pictures of him and yell at him for not letting me know how he was hurting... i have a picture of him of some sort in each room so he is always with us...

My husband also died last January in his sleep. He died January 19th... we had been together 4.5 yrs though... he was 27... i am so sorry for your loss. How was your one year anniversary?
