No True Justice In This System

That’s the median time convicted murderers spend behind bars, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics.” "Many don’t stay in jail even that long. According to a survey of 30 states, one out of every seven prisoners given a life sentence serves three years or less". -Awake (1986)

Personal Reflection : Death

You defeated our family

You defeated our friends

Will you ever be defeated?

You cause us grief

You cause us sadness

Will you ever be defeated?

You cause us pain

You cause us to be depressed

Will you ever be defeated?

Alas, you will be defeated.....

My Poem: You Are Not The Blame

Why do people blame you

When you are not the blame

Why do people say you took our loves ones

When you are not the blame

Why do people say you needed another angel

When you have myriad of angels

Why do people say " Why God?"

When you are not the blame

Why don't blame Adam or Satan..

When you are not the blame

I know you are not the blame because

You are love (1 John 4:16)

They Did Not Mean It----Make Allowances For Family/Friends

We Can Escape Our Enemy

We are all affected by the enemy death. No matter how hard we try to run and make ourselves look ageless, it is going to catch up with us. However, there is someone that can help us escape..."As the last enemy, death is brought to nothing... (1 Corinthians 15:26)

Comforting Thought -Re: Our Love Ones

“Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life. (Isaiah 26:19)

Poem " Do not Stand at My Grave and Weep" by Mary Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there - I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints in snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
As you awake with morning's hush
I am the swift-up-flinging rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there - I did not die.
