Three weeks ago I was happily married. Three weeks ago I wasn't a widow. Three weeks ago we had gone out to lunch and spent time talking. Three weeks ago we did laundry. Three weeks ago I went in to him where he was sitting at the computer and did a saucy wiggle before I headed out to dance class. Three weeks ago he told me he adored me and he loved me. Three weeks ago I came home and sat on my computer next to him and surfed while he played a video game. Three weeks ago he kissed me before going into the back bedroom to play his guitar. Three weeks ago the strains of "Boat Drinks" were wafting through our house.

I want to go back to three weeks ago.

All of my family and his were here the week after, which helped a lot. And we have a lot of friends here who have been incredibly helpful, both to talk to and to be there when I need them. But there are still times when I just want to curl up on the couch with the dogs and ignore the rest of the world and just go numb.

I am so sorry. I went back and read what happened. You were both so in love. I feel so sorry that you had to go through all of that. It is good you were with him. He must of known something wasn't right, that is why he wanted you to call an ambulance. Maybe the diabeties caused something to the heart. Do you have family nearby. You need to be aroung people right now and let yourself grieve......thinking and praying for you..

I'm still waiting on the official cause from the ME's office, but the first post in my blog talks about what happened. He wasn't feeling good in the morning, was vomiting up some blood (or possibly coughing it up, I don't know for sure), and an hour after I found out about it, he was in cardiac arrest in the ambulance and he died about half an hour later. =(

What happened that was so sudden? It sounds like you had a very special marriage and need to let out what caused it to be over. He still loves you, and you will feel that love again some day.... ?????????
