IN MEMORY OF :
ALEXANDER SHICK
8-6-04 TO 9-21-07
Just memories
Only when a loss so dear
Brings to all eyes full of tear
A year ago, a soul then taken
To our Lord, yet not forsaken.
Pains our heart the silence still
Emotions contolled with a wonder pill
Yet memories of joy heal our whoas
With thoughts of your laughter as each day goes.
Forgotten never of what you gave
The simple motion of a wave
Laughter, song, and smiles galor
In this life you'll share no more.
In time, comes knowledge to heal the pain
And life continues not quite the same
Yet sights and sounds from life abound
Will bring our memories to when you were around.
From Papa 09-21-08
I wrote this poem on the one year
rememberance of his death.
I and my family still seek closure
from those whom keep the wounds open,
and the memory scarred.
