Helping other with their loss is a great way to help yourself

It's been 15 years since I lost my wife of 40 years, Jan. Three years after losing her I married a lovely lady who had lost her husband and was in a bereavement group with me. We are very happy but I will always keep Jan in my heart. One of the major sources of strength for my recovery has been helping others. My book, Surviving the Loss of Your Loved One, Jan's Rainbow has brought comfort to so many people as have my presentations on the topic. Something to keep in mind - when you help others deal with loss, you are also helping yourself.
