This scripture along with prayer has helped me tremendously during my many grieving periods.

(Philippians 4:6, 7) Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.

I love the fact that God will guard our hearts and our mental powers, when we are grieving and depressed over our loved one who passed away. Our thoughts or the things that run through our minds & heart can be very distressing and challenging, so when we give all that to God he helps us by means of his Holy Spirit.  We feel an inner peace that helps to calm our minds and our hearts down so that we can continue to function and not completely shut down.

What a wonderful God Jehovah is!

My prayer is that everyone experience that inner peace that comes from our Heavenly Father.
