Hello My Friends;

My Mom who was my best friend, my confidant, my hero passed away on November 3, 2009. I miss her more and more everyday! to aid in my pain I came across these three prayers, that I would like to share with you all:

Lord,

I do not know how long this season called grief will last.

But you do.

I trust you to accompany me on an unfamillar path as you have accompanied others.  Amen

God,

For that for which I am grateful for that which, in time, I hope to be grateful for that which I am not yet ready to be grateful enable me to find and to create gratitude to honor this remarkable Woman I have called Mom.

I have saved my favorite one for last:

  The Broken Chain
We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
I hope that some of you will find comfort in these words?  like I have!

Beautiful! I'm glad this brings you comfort. My just turned 30 yr old daughter passed 4/09/'10. I'm devastated. She left a husband a 3 small girls.
