Virginia Tech tragedy, five years later

It seems like just yesterday that we heard the news of a terrible mass shooting at Virginia Tech. The recent, unrelated shooting of a security officer on campus served as yet another reminder of the earlier shootings. The tragedy remains fresh in our minds.

Incredibly, it's been five years. On this anniversary, we remember the 32 victims – students and teachers – who died that day. The online guest books for the victims have received 50,000 messages to date, and people from all around the world continue to share words of remembrance, hope – and a little bit of Hokie spirit.

The memories of the students will all ways be remember by their families and fellow VT STUDENTS.God bless the families and the school become stronger as one.Tech Fan

On The Obit Report, Legacy.com remembers the Virginia Tech victims with a look at a few of the messages shared in the guest book. Meanwhile, the Virginia Tech Tragedy Memorial Site provides an ongoing place to pay tribute to the victims.
