When someone we love dies it can be one of the most traumatic experiences we can go through in life.

Why do we feel so bad, helpless, empty, crushed inside.........It's because death is not normal we were not born just to live for a while and then die for some reason or another.  Death was never a part of the original plan God had for mankind.  God is a God of love and he never wanted mankind to experience the hardships, grief and pain we suffer today.  The bible accurately describes death as an enemy

1cor 15:26 and rightly so because an enemy causes nothing but pain and hardship.  So then why do we die?

The Bible at Rom 5:12 explains that we die because of inherited sin from our forefather Adam. And

as Rom 6:23 explains "The wages sin pays is death".  But is that it?  Not at all that same scripture goes on to show that "The gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord".  So our loving God promises a restoration for those who have and will die.  Acts 24:15 & John 5:28 These scriptures give us hope.  So in the mean time how do we deal with the death of our loved ones.  Speaking from personal experience:

Never isolate yourself            Prov18:1

Pray Continually                    Phil 4:6,7

Throw  your burdens on God  1Peter 5:7

Talk to your Family & Friends  Prov 17:17

Cry when you need to cry       Eccl. 3:1-5

Don't be afraid to laugh          Eccl. 3:4

These are just a few things that helped me to cope when my family members died.  Also get lots of hugs.  As time passes we are able to cope better even if we don't see that at the moment.  We have our memories, photo's video's. And sometimes its hard at first viewing these but our love never dies.........

May The God of all comfort strengthen each one of you to cope When someone you love dies.
