My husband left this worl 2/2/2009. I feel as if I have not moved one step forward. I cry and cry and cry everyday as he was the greatest gift I was ever given. I DO know how you feel
Hi Rose, I saw your comment on the LegacyConnect page, and I just wanted to check in with you to see how you're doing.
You mentioned that you've been drinking to help ease the pain. I come from a family that has really suffered from alcoholism, and from what I've witnessed, alcohol solves no problems. You might feel a temporary numbness, but when you sober up, that grief is still there and the drinking does nothing to help repair the hole in your heart.
If there's a grief counseling group in your area, maybe going to some of their meetings would start to ease all of that pain that you're feeling. Please keep writing to us here on LegacyConnect so that we'll know how you're doing.
