With initial grief and loss there appears to be no end to the pain and anguish. As those around try to support us we feel like no momentum can push us forward. Yet one day a break in the cloud occurs or we see daylight streaming through a window. My break was when I committed myself to work with others in grief. Would like to know what yours is or was. My latest was buying a car for myself in the color and style that I wanted, without preference to anyone else's desires. It was huge ( not the car, but the decision). Empowering yourself through grief may be a simple as setting a new place setting or buying yourself a new bed pillow of lofty down. Support yourself as you have supported your loved ones. The sun may break through a cloudy day!

I work with grief clients redesigning their rooms in their homes, using what they already own, to initiate small changes in grief. It brings hope and inspiration to them.
