My name is Eileen . Like you I lost my dad to stage IV lung cancer on September 14, 2012 . He was diagnosed w\ stage IV lung cancer back in May 2011 when  I was finishing my spring semester classes in preparation for  graduation  in December 2011 , His dying wish was to see me graduate from college before he die .His second round of  chemo treatment failed after my college graduation and when I went to see him Memorial Day week he wasn't feeling good he was ready to  die and over the summer he came home to stay w\me and my brother until he  gotten really sick before my great -nephew 's  birthday in July . He couldn't swallow and he couldn't eat .he  had a feeding tube put into his stomach and he was put a liquid diet , Then he had pneumonia Labor Day weekend and he was i the hospital and  he went to hospice after that . My brother and I thought he was getting better . Then one day my brother and I went to see him and my dad was in his bed shivering and in pain . They gave him morphine and made him comfortable until he passed away on September 14, 2012 at  10:55 AM . I cried so hard when my dad passed away and I called my choir director to tell her the news . I miss my dad so much along w\ my mom . She died on March 15, 2010 . I miss both of my parents very much , This Christmas was my first Christmas w\o my parents . It is still hard today as  Easter is coming up . My mom will be gone for three years on March 15 and my dad will be gone six months  on March 14 .
