oh and for the God's plan speech...ask them this: When did you see God's plan? I believe God works on a contingency basis - when my son was killed he sent an angel to take my son to Heaven because his injuries were too severe. God is not cruel or up to making devious plans. We have free will...there is no plan. If that doesn't work tell them Pog Mothoin! Irish for Kiss my A**!

If you are the executor of your son's estate, you can bring the certificate to the bank and close out the credit cards - you can use the money if any in the bank accounts to close out the CC debt. I am sorry for your loss.
