So sorry for your loss Laurie. I know it feels like everyone says this but know that we here do really know how it feels and are sorry for real. It must have been awful watching the accident unfold before your eyes and know you are helpless. He sounds like a wonderful husband. Usually hospitals are pretty understanding about making token payments and working out something with you as are most creditors. Try not to fret about it please. There are many links attached to this site with wonderful help and suggestions as well as the people here. Hugs to you. Venting here is a good place.
I lost my husband 7/4/10 in a motorcycle accident with a deer in the middle of the day in Co. Our dogs had been ill so had my husband so I took our van with the trailer so we could put the bike on the it if he got sick. Daughter and son in law was between us. Therefore we saw the whole thing they kept my husband alive until he got to the hospital in Pueblo Co do to his weak heart he could not survive the injuries. We both have live wills and knew his wishes he would not want to be kept alive on machines so we let him go
