I truly do understand your grief;  I miss my parents so much.  My Dad was like my best friend and my mother was like my sister.  I love them both so much; in fact - I just lost my mother in September - and one day I went to reach  for the phone to call my mother - just to realize that she was not there.   The pain never goes away - however, I try to focus on the many beautiful memories of both of my parents.  I have kept a lot of their personal items.  I wear my Dad's jacket with pride and my mother room has been left untouched.  I carry their love in my heart everyday and speak of the many words of wisdom given to me by them on a daily basis.  I love the fact that I honored them as directed by our Heavenly Father.

Know this, your love for your parents will always live in your heart and cherish the fact that you were a loving daughter - you must cherish that - you are the love that has extended from your parents back to you.  I love the fact that you loved your parents.  Do not love for the void to completely disappear - for their love will always be in your heart. (Ephesians 6:1,2)
