My husband passed away almost 5 years ago....does anybody else have dreams that they are alive...ALMOST EVERY NIGHT? And then, in the dream, I realize he is not and it's horrible. Last night was the worst...I don't sleep well as it is, and dozed off again and it was like he was THERE with me asleep and I was waking him up....long story short, it was what seemed to be an hour of horror. I woke up exhausted, then went back to sleep and started the dream again. I have never gone to therapy - but last night was so awful.

Hi, Julie. I'm coming up to the 2 month mark day after tomorrow; I can hardly imagine it getting worse in the second year, but I believe it. Numbness and denial can go a long way toward being able to pretend to be okay at work and in public. Halloween was David's favorite holiday. Everything was just so much fun with him, I loved being married to him, and I miss him so much every day.

i lost my husband almost 2 years ago and sometimes it still feels like he is around. sometimes its good, sometimes it makes me angry. i had him in my dreams for some time, now not so much anymore. i had feeling of the type of dreams you had during my first year. not a horror, but utter sadness. i find the 2nd year so much harder than the first. i'm not nearly as numb as before. you should try therapy, it helped me alot. you might want to see your doctor as well. take care
To be honest with you, I would give anything to dream of my fiance who I just lost a week ago. Maybe he is trying to tell you something, maybe he isn't ready to leave your side, just maybe he misses you and that is his way of supporting you. Try to see it as a blessing you get to still see him. I know that may not help for I don't know your dreams but I would greatly encourage you to go to counceling and see what you may not have dealt with. Sleep well, I will pray you sleep well.

Anita - I am so very sorry for your loss. You are just still in the beginning....and yes, I know
that is probably what it is. If you don't mind, what happened to your fiance'?
You have a long road ahead....please be kind to yourself....it is so hard.
Take care and hope to hear from you .... bless you
Please read in the discussion I started in hopes to get advise titled "sudden death" He was traveling home from a hunting trip in Texas when the p;ane went down coming home to leesburg, Fl. I hope, after reading others advise I didn't sound cold. I have not felt him, dreamt of him or even had signs. I know I wake every morning sick to my stomach and I wish it would just stop. I know I wouldn't want to feel this way 5 yrs from now. It's only been 8 days yet I have already began speaking to the stephen ministris with a church, looked into a group and plan to go volunteer at the non profit organization he created. Some say I am pushing myself too hard to move foreward yet I can't stand feeling this way. All I hear is him saying in the back of my head is "Get after it" "I want to keep you happy" He said it daily to me. lease seek out the church for help if money is difficult. It helps. Saw them today and it was not a good day at all. Generally I can have a few hrs of calm but, not today. But I do know that they brought a sense of peace earlier in my life and so I believed they could again. I'm so sorry you can't sleep. Talk to someone.
