This might be a rough time for many of you. Do what you feel you need to do to get through it. Remember, someone is here almost all the time to talk to you.

I wish I could tell everyone how to get over the loss of a loved one.I wish that I had answers. The truth is simply this. There is no answer. We all must face it in our own way.Support groups help to some degree. Therepists cannot help as it only draws out our feelings even more. The reality is that we are alone, have the empty house to go back to and do things without our mate.We each must deal with it in our own way and own time. Perhaps that will never happen. After 14 and a half months for me,my wife is not with me anymore and to do ANYTHING without her is a never ending blow to the world I had for over 44 years with her. There is no life without her and only we can hope that maybe we can come to some kind of grip with it.Dont know when,if ever. This site has good ears to listen to all of us coping. Hugs to all. Hugs are good. Please, ENJOY THE DAY !!!!

We are all feeling the same way, lonely. I wish the feelings would end, I'm on the edge of deep depression right now, I finally admitted I need help but the therapist is telling me everything I already know...its normal, it will get easier, etc. Guess she never lost her husband, her best friend. Brad will be gone a year on Aug. 5 and I feel worse now than I did before. I got through one week of memories: his birthday, our anniversary and Father's day all in one week, I was a wreck physically and mentally and I don't see any end in sight. I'm hiding these feelings from everyone because they all think I'm so strong. I know everyone tells me Brad is okay and he would want me to be strong and enjoy life again, but it doesn't help. Hope you are all doing okay, just had to touch base with someone who feels what I feel. Any ideas on how I can live each day not feeling down and depressed? Bless you all!

Dear Katy I would be happy if I could just 'skip' at least the rest of this year and maybe the next one too.
My husband was my life, he has been gone less than 4 months, and I truly want to die too.

Virginia I deeply appreciated your comment about signs from your husband . When did he pass? I desperly need a sign from my wife . Maybe I've already received it and was simply too wrapped up in self pitty to recongoize it . (see excuse spelling)

Hi Everyone,I'm back from my vacation to N C. and it was wonderfull, even with the 16 month old teething lol. I was reading all the post I missed this past week and for those wanting to know weather we get signs from our spouses yes, I was a believer before loosing Mike but I know it is true as I've had a few, then while on vac. this past week ( we've been there before ) at one of our favorate places, a stream comming out of the mountian side by the road my nephew was taking a picture of me and his wife and baby with his digital camera he started saying oh my god , don't move I need to take another one he did then i asked why and when he was trying to show us he was shaking like a leaf the first one ,right over my mouth and nose was a big white circle then in the second one nothing. he was like, he's here with us talking about Mike, he said it looks like he is giving you a kiss and the whole vac. there was signs everywhere something with his first name (Reed ) or out last name and in our journeys a road named yellow rose ave. yellow roses were Mikes favorate flower of all, our wedding flowers were red and yellow roses all of them every flower there, and I had the casket sprey all yellow roses with a few red roses and babys breath and the greenery and a broken heart made of the same. so there is no telling me he isn't with me. the vacation wasn't a sad one, it was really what I need to do and I'm truelly glad I did. glad to be back. hugs to all.

I was going to post a sad message but that will have to wait for now as something wonderful has happened to me and my grandson. My wife and I always liked a folk song called "Daisy a Day". My grandson planted Daisies to "give her a daisy a day".
I had posted this some time back and he had planted them a couple months ago.. My wife's garden is all weeds now and I had just pulled out all of the weeds.Low and behold the garden once again filled with weeds and I havent been wanting to pull them.Today,Friday, the whole garden was filled with blooming Daisies. Wow, my grandson can now give his grandmother "a Daisy a Day".A miracle come true.
