My mom came to me the night after she died. She'd been unable to care for herself and the plan was my sister's were to help me with her. Well they stopped and after being at her home every night for a year and half with her supper I told her that I needed a break.. that my husband was taking two weeks off work for vacation and I'd like a week off. She was cool with it. Said she'd get my sister's and a sisterinlaw to help her. So the fourth day off was her 64th bday and Hub and I went and took her a Bday cake and saw her on the way to meet the kids and grands at the zoo. Her blood sugar was up so she couldn't eat cake. My younger brother came in and we left. Got a few blocks from the house and my other brother called said get back to moms. She was in the floor dying.. they took her to the hospital and she passed after 14 years of illness. My two sisters invited me to their house 2 evening later..neighbors had brought food. We got to talking and ask them did they take mom dinner or help her out while I was away those few days. The oldest said no.. she didn't feel like it and the youngest said no too. My sisinlaw had been with her one afternoon. When Mom came to me in the dream she had her head down and she was very sad. I was in the kitchen trying to make her something to eat I knew she was hungry. I ask her hadn't the girls fed her while I was away and she cried and shook her head no. You should have seen their faces when I told them that I knew they didn't help.. Mom told me in a dream. They looked at each other like they were blown away. I still don't know why she told me that, but both of my sisters are having problems with medication abuse and addiction, I have to think it has something to do with that. But I'm open .. and she passed in 97, I keep hoping to hear from her again, but maybe not, I'm sure she's at peace now.
