It has been about two months since I lost my mother.
I think the only thing that is holding me together is
my mission to document her life and experiences
and to eventually talk about how I lost her. I started
a blog to "relive" her life. I think it will help me to
understand and eventually accept what I can't change.
I think others might find this tool helpful too.
It's painful. My final sentences of each entry are very
painful and involve much tears. I would welcome
other's thoughts on this. I welcome members of this group to
see my story. And I would be interested in knowing if others
agree that this activity would have healing benefits.

What a beautiful memorial and I definitely think this is healing. Thanks for the great idea. Mainly I am so sorry for the loss of your dear mother. May the love she gave to you remain so close.

What a beautiful tribute to your mother, Julie. I write in my Mum's online guestbook every month of the anniversary of her passing (she passed May 31, 2010), and I find that cathartic. Your letters brought tears to my eyes.
I'm like you on the cooking issue, hate cooking and cleaning, and my Mum knew it. That part of your blog brought a smile to my face as it hit home so much.

I lost my mother ten months ago today (February 20) and I started a blog as well, to write about her, my family, and my feelings.  I have found it to be very cathartic.  I am going to read yours right now and add it to my favorites....if you are interested, my blog is:

Thank you for sharing....
