Janet, The hospital needs to be accountable for that! My lil' brother was given nano units instead of micros. They gave him WAY to much, seconds later he told his wife, "check the medicine, something's wrong". He then had a heart attack and left us all!!! That was 9/22/14. It hurts EVERYDAY! We didn't see each other that often anymore but when he was told he was dying. I made plans to see him the following Wednesday. Sadly, he passed on Monday!!! As kids we were very close and I even lived with his family for a few months while I was recuperating from an accident. I think about him numerous times a day. I'm holding a pic of him,  I hug it. He's plays guitar, a Les Paul; he has a Fender Straticaster too. Doug's a Respiratory Therapist, his wife is a nurse and their daughter's going to college to be a doctor. She told me he won't be able to walk her down the aisle when she gets married. SO SAD! It hurts!!!Oooooh My Dougie!!!!! I LOVE you Doug, so very much!!!

Sorry for your lost Susan. My mother passed away in 1999 from complications of Scleroderma. It seems just like yesterday. I pray that GOD gives you peace and understanding!

Although it has been more than two weeks since losing my oldest brother, I think about (after hearing/learning later) how the nursing home treated him and how I wanted/needed to be there to prevent that. Right now, my family is fighting for him because that facility needs to be held accountable for his lack of care. "JUSTICE FOR ANT!"

I just lost my oldest brother on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. I could not be at his wake nor funeral because it was in Cleveland, Ohio and I was hospitalized in Astoria, NY.

Yesterday my mom passed away as well. She had heart surgery on his 1yr anniversary and died a week later. Only comfort right now is knowing they are together.

elyse, those are the words that I use regarding myself, "my past, present and future" are gone. Candace had just turned 30, less than two months b/4 she left.  That was April 09, 2010. Then on Sept. 22, 2014, my younger bro passed from PHT!!! He almost died when he was about 6, I think the good Lord let him live and he and his wife raised a very smart daughter who's going to college to become a doctor! I love and miss them so very much! I'm glad Candace (my lil' Boog) was there to greet My Dougie! We'll be reunited, I know. Candace is my only child. Lord please comfort elyse and Susan, Amen.
