Time does seem to enable one to learn how to cope with the lost of one's parents - but it does not erase the emotional attachment and/or deep rooted love we have for our parents.    I long many a days to just to be able to hug and talk with my parents.  Time has helped me to accept my lost but it has not helped me to forget or to stop longing for them.

Everyday is a challenge. My life has changed so much. My mom passed away almost 10 years ago (August will be 10 yrs). My dad passed a little over a year. He was my rock, my go to guy...even though I am married to a wonderful man, he will never replace my dad...There are days I can't get out of bed. I miss them both so much it still hurts..the "hole" in my chest comes back, the ache of knowing I can't go and have coffee with him, or help cook something with him hurts me. I have a hard time going into the house, the scents of his cologne are still there. Things of his are still around, photos are around.
