The reason I am here because my dad passed away on November 13, 2010.
I have been in the fire service since 1996 and I have seen alot of death and pain. I had been so busy talking my family through the process that my dad would go through and trying to prepare them for the final out come that I forgot to prepare myself.
I never told my dad I loved him until September 15, 2010 and that slipped out but I did mean it. I was planning a camping trip for just the men next May but unfortunately it will not happen.
I am trying to stay strong but little by little I find another tear trying to escape and I suck it up. I miss my dad and always will until I see him again.

My dad passed away November 13, 2010 of brain cancer. The cancer was found in July 2010 it took only 4 short months to take my dads life at the age of 74.
