Moments that catch you off guard

I was at the grocery store today and as I was picking up a bag of dog food I overheard a young man talking to another shopper. I heard him say "Yeah I was really lucky", and I kind of froze momentarily. Sure enough, he was telling her about a recent car accident he had been in. I gathered my things as quickly as I could but as I walked by them I heard hi say "Man, when those airbags went of.....". It took everything I had not to lose it in the middle of the grocery store. It would be nice for his friends to come to be with their dear friend. I know of a couple of his friends who have gone to visit my Joe on his birthday and also on a holiday. One of his friends usually arranges a get together at a local hang out in memory of my son. I was invited one year and I went. I lost my son in a accident caused by a drunk driver. I think it's a great idea for you to go and be with his friends. It will give you a purpose and we all need a purpose in our live. Take care of yourself.

He just got off work and was heading back to his dorm and the last time to see him the weekend of his birthday we had s party with friends his friends had s blast never thought that would be my last day i would see my Daniel...
