Hello Kimm - this is a good site where you will find the comfort that you need from some of the members who have and are going through the same emotional changes as you.  It is so nice to see you have taken the time out to seek out those who share your same experiences.

I lost my brother in 1993 - yes, I was in pain but when I looked to my parents for comfort - I can't explain the emotional pain they were feeling.  It was a shock to all of us.  He had so much life; so much fun - a loving spirit.   I can only try to understand the pain - my parents were in so much pain.  It was as if there was a hole in their heart.    However, with the support of family, friends, associates and some quiet time that they spent together as a couple - they found the calmness they needed in their heart.  So, I hope you enjoy the exchange of experiences here and the comfort you will find. Kimm,

I am so sorry for the loss of your son Christopher.  What a handsome young man!

I also lost my 21 year old daughter on December 6, 2010.  There have been a couple funerals (not close relatives or friends) at the same funeral home where my daughter's services were.  I just couldn't bring myself to go to them.  I really empathize with you losing another close relative and having to go.

My mom lost my brother 30 years ago and she keeps trying to reassure me that I'll always miss my daughter, but with time my heart will heal some.

This site has been a life safer to me.  Other people, even close friends and relatives, just don't get what it's like to lose a child and the people here do.

There is always someone to talk to day or night and there is usually someone with helpful advice.

I hope you are able to find comfort here.

Hugs to you and I'm thinking of you, your son and nephew.
